Under the hood of the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 and its coupe version, a four-liter engine borrowed from the sports model AMG GT is installed. The power unit is offered in two versions: 476 horsepower with a torque of 650 Nm and 510 hp with a torque of 700 Nm for the S version. The engine is paired exclusively with a nine-speed automatic transmission AMG Speedshift MCT — no other transmission options are provided.

The standard Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 accelerates from standstill to 100 km/h in exactly 4 seconds. The more powerful crossover with a 510-horsepower engine handles this exercise 0.2 seconds faster. Both modifications have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Both "charged" versions are equipped with the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system and a mechanical limited-slip differential. On the S modifications, the differential lock is controlled by electronics.
