With the release of the new RS5, Audi has put an end to the restyling of the A5 line. The appearance of the flagship model has not undergone radical changes, but the technical part has presented a surprise.

The naturally aspirated V8 has given way to a 450-horsepower turbocharged unit with a displacement of 2.9 liters, borrowed from the Panamera. Torque reaches 600 Nm, and the drive is all-wheel drive.

Thanks to the new engine, acceleration to 100 km/h has been reduced by 0.7 seconds — now it takes 3.9 seconds instead of the previous 4.6. The top speed, as before, is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but for an additional fee the limiter can be moved to 280 km/h.

The list of additional equipment includes a carbon roof, carbon-ceramic brakes, adaptive Dynamic Ride Control suspension, and an active rear differential.

On the German market, the new Audi RS5 is priced at a minimum of 80,900 euros.
