The head of Audi's racing division, Stefan Winkelmann, told Australian journalists about the prospects of producing its own hypercar. He noted that such a car has significant potential, especially given the success of the factory team in endurance racing.
To create such a supercar, Audi engineers will not turn to Lamborghini's experience, but will rely solely on their own developments. A likely rival for this car could be the Mercedes-AMG Project One, whose presentation is already scheduled for autumn.
The new Audi will be produced in an extremely limited series, which, of course, will affect its price. However, the final decision on launching the project has not yet been made, so even approximate timing for the car's appearance remains unknown.
