The name of the new Octavia variant was not chosen by chance, as the 230-horsepower turbo engine of the "regular" RS was boosted to exactly 245 hp. Torque, in turn, grew to 370 Nm (+20 Nm).
The improved engine performance helped shave 0.1 seconds off the sprint to 100 km/h, which now takes 6.6 seconds (6.7 seconds in the wagon body).
Instead of the 6-speed "robot", the Octavia RS 245 is equipped with a 7-speed DSG variant. The new modification received no other technical differences, except for the appearance of a mechanical limited-slip differential "in the base".
