The new model will be shown as a concept car that will be as close as possible to the production version. Three years ago, Toyota already presented the FT-1 Concept show car (pictured), which was a precursor to the new Supra, but that concept was very far from the production version.
It is known that the Supra will be created in close partnership with BMW and will essentially be a clone of the future Bavarian model Z5.
The rear-wheel-drive sports car will get a 350-horsepower German turbocharged V6 engine. A hybrid version of the Supra is also planned, which will also use powertrains from BMW.
