Volkswagen concern has completed the update of the Golf family by presenting the restyled version of the most "charged" modification R.
Like the rest of the facelifted Golfs, the R version did not receive significant changes in appearance, limited to updated optics and bumpers.
The power of the upgraded turbo engine was raised to 310 hp (+10 hp), and torque increased to 400 Nm (+20 Nm). Improved performance allowed to "shave off" 0.3 seconds from the acceleration to 100 km/h, which now takes 4.6 seconds.
The Golf R is still available not only as a hatchback, but also in a station wagon version.
