Information has leaked to the press that Mitsubishi has finally decided to start developing a new generation of the Lancer model.
The new generation of the car will be built on the CMF modular architecture developed by the Renault-Nissan alliance, which Mitsubishi recently joined. For the Lancer, a slightly extended version of the CMF-CD platform will likely be used.
According to available information, the release of the eleventh generation Mitsubishi Lancer is expected no later than 2019, but the Japanese manufacturer has not yet shared details about the upcoming model.
