The pickup was created jointly with the TARDEC research and engineering center, which is responsible for developing tanks and vehicles for the US Army. No technical specifications have been published yet, but it is known that the vehicle is equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell powertrain operating in conjunction with electric motors.

The Colorado ZH2 is well suited for military operations, as it can move almost silently and also has a decent range. In addition, the pickup is equipped with a special Exportable Power Take-Off unit, to which various external electrical devices can be connected.

After the completion of factory tests, next year the prototype will be sent for testing to the US Army.
