The third generation of the model has moved to a new architecture, which is also used in the Cruze sedan. The dimensions of the crossover have changed: the length has been reduced to 4652 mm (118 mm less), and the wheelbase has decreased to 2725 mm (minus 132 mm). The width has remained almost unchanged at 1843 mm, while the height has become 23 mm lower — now it is 1661 mm. Buyers will be able to choose a version with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

For the first time, the engine lineup includes a 1.6-liter diesel producing 137 hp and 320 Nm of torque. In addition, two turbocharged gasoline engines are offered: a 1.5-liter unit delivering 173 hp, and a two-liter with an output of 256 hp and 353 Nm. For the most powerful variant, a 9-speed automatic transmission is provided, while the less powerful engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic.

Available options now include surround-view cameras, blind-spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist, as well as several versions of the MyLink multimedia system.
In the US, the new crossover will go on sale early next year. The Chevrolet Equinox is not officially represented on the Ukrainian market.
