Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar, spoke about this during a press conference at the New York Auto Show. According to him, the new model will appear on the market within the next two years and will be offered exclusively with an electric powertrain.
According to unofficial information, the British intend to release an electric crossover that will compete with the Audi Q6 e-tron and Tesla Model X. Moreover, according to rumors, the car will be built on the basis of the Range Rover Evoque.

There are two versions regarding the name of the first electric Jaguar model - I-Pace and I-Type. The corresponding trademarks were registered by the company last month. Apparently, I-Pace is a crossover, while I-Type is a future electric car belonging to the class of small sedans.
