The model under the working name T-Cross, according to preliminary plans, will appear on the assembly line in 2018. Among its main competitors are the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-3. The car will be built on the basis of the five-door hatchback Volkswagen Polo of the next generation.
Approximately at the same time, the release of the T-Roc crossover is also planned, which will be larger than the T-Cross but smaller than the Tiguan. In numbers, T-Cross is about 4000 mm, T-Roc is 4179 mm, Tiguan is 4485 mm, Touareg is 4801 mm.
The new models will become part of a segment that is rapidly developing in many regions, including Europe.
