According to preliminary information, as of today, 30 pre-production Model X units have already left the assembly line. Production cars are expected to appear by the end of 2015.

The car is notable for its doors – “Falcon Wings”, which can be opened in limited space.

All-wheel drive is already standard in the car, and the third row of seats is available only for an additional cost. Both the third and second rows of seats fold flat into the floor.

Tesla enthusiasts expected the first production cars in 2014. But the sales launch date was moved to early 2015, but something didn't work out and it was moved even further - to the end of the year.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk explained the delay as follows: “The postponement of the Model X sales launch to the third quarter of 2015 is due to our desire to be sure that we are offering a car that truly delights customers.”
