To make the new model different from the donor, they stretched the rear doors, changed the design of the "stern" and raised the roof. But in the cabin, they did not change the styling.
The car is declared as a seven-seater, but at the same time, in the base version, it can be purchased as a five-seater. With the seats of the second and third rows folded, you can easily fit 1,905 liters of luggage into it.
They didn't overthink the engines either. Everything available in the 2 Series Active Tourer can also be had in the BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer. That is, two petrol engines with 136 and 192 hp, and three diesel engines developing 116, 150, and 190 hp. The most powerful of the diesels works in tandem with the xDrive all-wheel drive system and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can accelerate the car to 100 km/h in just 7.6 seconds. The top speed is 218 km/h.
