The biggest advantage of this car is that it is based on the platform of the Swedish Saab 9-3. Despite this, its price will start from a modest $16,000.

The Matrix platform, which formed the basis of the new model, was acquired by the Chinese concern BAIC from General Motors, and the purchase package included the architecture of the 2009 Saab 9-5 model. The contract value was then estimated at $197 million.

In addition to the body structure, Saab gasoline engines with a displacement of 2.0 and 2.3 liters were also purchased. There are only two gearboxes: a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic.
