The debut of the new model is expected to take place in the second half of November at the auto show in Guangzhou, China. In China, the flagship will go on sale in early 2015. In other markets, the car will appear a little later.

The Emgrand GC9, built on the basis of the extended Volvo S60L, will become the largest, most comfortable and safest car in the Geely lineup, and it will differ from its competitors in an affordable price.

The car will receive three petrol engines: a 2.4-liter engine with 160 hp and 210 Nm, a 1.8-liter turbocharged unit with 180 hp and 285 Nm, as well as a 3.5-liter "six" with 270 hp and 345 Nm. All power units will work in conjunction with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
