Does this mean that the new model will be a scaled-down copy of the "cube"? For now, this information can be neither confirmed nor denied. It is only known that the new model will be named GLB and is reportedly set to become an SUV combining the dimensions of the B-Class, the design of the Gelandewagen, and the characteristics of the GLA crossover.

The Mercedes-Benz GLB will be available with front- and all-wheel drive, and in the base version will have three-cylinder engines from Renault. More expensive versions will get a 2.0-liter 200-horsepower diesel and a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine with 272 horsepower. The company also plans to release a charged version of the GLB45 AMG, which will feature a 380-horsepower engine.

The gearbox is a seven-speed "robotic" with two clutches or a nine-speed "automatic". Sales are scheduled to start in 2019, with an estimated price from 25 thousand euros.
