Volkswagen continues to expand its lineup of models with increased ground clearance and off-road styling — this time it's the turn of the Golf Alltrack. In concept, the new model repeats the idea of the Passat Alltrack: it's a wagon with increased ground clearance, which, in our opinion, would be more accurately called an "off-road vehicle with reduced off-road capability."

In addition to the plastic body kit, the car will receive a 4Motion all-wheel-drive transmission based on the Haldex coupling. It's worth noting that this system can also be ordered for standard Golf versions without the Alltrack suffix. The ground clearance of the new model is increased to 160 mm.

The main focus for the Golf Alltrack is on diesel engines: units with a volume of 1.6 liters and output of 110 hp are offered, as well as 2.0-liter versions with 150 and 184 hp. For fans of gasoline engines, only one option is provided — a 1.8-liter engine developing 180 hp.

No exact dates for the Golf Alltrack's appearance on the Ukrainian market have been announced yet. However, it is known that the Autoportal editorial team will be able to get a detailed look at the new model in early October, when it will be presented at the Paris Motor Show.
