Renault has presented the Renault Sport R.S.01 car equipped with an engine from the Nissan GT-R. It was developed by specialists from the Nismo sports division.
To promote the car on the market, in the near future, they plan to organize a new one-make series in the World Series by Renault.

As befits a sports car, it was presented by the renowned racer Alain Prost, known to exhibition visitors as a world champion in Formula-1 races.
The sports car's engine, a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6, was detuned to 500 horsepower (550 hp in the original) to meet the requirements of the one-make series. It is mated to a sequential gearbox from Sadev. The top speed reaches 300 km/h.

The body is based on a carbon monocoque, thanks to which the car weighs only 1100 kilograms.
Body dimensions: length — 4710 mm, width — 2000 mm, height — 1116 mm, wheelbase — 2744 mm.

The body meets the standards of the FIA LMP1 class. This allows, with certain modifications, to compete in the prestigious "24 Hours of Le Mans" race.
