The main changes in the appearance of the updated Chery Bonus, available as a sedan and hatchback, are concentrated in the front: there is a different radiator grille, redesigned headlights and a fresh bumper. At the rear, the restyled version can be recognized by a new bumper and different lights. Inside, the design of the front panel and center console has been changed, a new steering wheel with system control keys and a color screen has been added. Softer grades of plastic have begun to be used for interior trim.
Under the hood of the updated Chery Bonus, the same 1.5-liter gasoline unit with 109 hp and a peak torque of 140 Nm will remain. The engine works in conjunction with a five-speed manual gearbox; an automatic transmission is not offered for this model.
In China, sales of the modernized Chery Bonus will start in December. The price for the hatchback starts at just above $8,000, and the sedan will cost buyers an additional $830 more.
