The new Dokker turned out to be taller and shorter than the family Lodgy, and also acquired sliding rear doors. Notably, the model will be available not only as a purely commercial van, but also in a passenger-cargo version, which provides three rows of seats.
The main rivals of the new model will be the related Renault Kangoo, as well as the Peugeot Partner and Citroen Berlingo. It seems that in the fight for the buyer's wallet, they may lose on price: if the same Citroen Berlingo in Germany starts at 16,900 euros, the Dokker will be offered from 9,000 euros!
It is worth adding that currently the Dacia model range includes as many as seven models (not counting the presented Dokker). In addition to the familiar Logan sedan, Sandero hatchback and Duster SUV, Romania produces the Lodgy MPV (its debut took place recently at the Geneva Motor Show), the seven-seat Logan MCV station wagon, the commercial Logan Pick-up and the Logan Van van.
