At the beginning of next year, Renault plans to launch a new generation of Megane, which will be available in three body styles: station wagon, sedan, and coupe. It is expected that among the modifications there will also be a convertible version. The Megane sedan will have a rear part that resembles a hatchback in shape, but with differences in the design of the rear lights and the trunk lid, which will rise without glazing. The station wagon, as usual, will get a sloping roofline and a longer rear, which will increase the cargo volume.
Under the hood of the Megane will be a whole range of petrol engines with a displacement of 1.6 and 2.0 liters, whose power will reach 225 horsepower, including a turbocharged "hot" version. Diesel units with a displacement of 1.5 and 1.9 liters will offer output from 89 to 178 hp. Sales of sedans and station wagons will start in the first half of next year.
