The new model largely repeats the standard Freed, but looks more attractive and in places more practical, although it lacks the third row of seats. Under the hood, two powertrain options are offered. In both cases, a 1.5-liter engine with i-VTEC technology is installed, producing 118 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. The gearbox is selected depending on the drive: the all-wheel-drive version is equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission, while the front-wheel-drive version received a CVT that helps reduce fuel consumption.

The price of the car starts from 1,598,000 yen (about 18,100 US dollars) and reaches 2,468,000 yen (approximately 27,950 dollars). Honda expects to sell about 2,500 of these minivans monthly.
