The Patrol Police, in a message published on its official Facebook page, stated that the new composition of the Poltava unit includes inspectors with motorcycle driving skills who have completed special training in this field.
The main goal of motorcycle patrols is to arrive at accident scenes more quickly, ensure public order, including at mass events, and move to places inaccessible to standard patrol cars. A special training program has been developed for police motorcyclists, prepared jointly with Canadian specialists who have significant experience in using two-wheeled vehicles. The course covers tactical techniques, practical skills, patrolling techniques, and safety rules.
It is worth noting that such patrols operate exclusively during the summer period.
Recall that motorcycle patrols began operating in the capital in 2018. In 2020, Lviv joined this practice, and in June 2021, Odesa did as well.
