The BMW CE 04 is equipped with a permanent-magnet electric motor producing 31 kW/42 hp – the same unit is used in the German brand's hybrid cars, for example, the BMW 225xe Active Tourer. The scooter accelerates from 0 to 50 km/h in 2.6 seconds, and the top speed is 120 km/h.

The BMW CE 04 battery capacity is 8.9 kWh, which is enough to cover 130 km without recharging. Charging from the standard 2.3 kW charger takes 4 hours 20 minutes, from a fast charger with a power of 6.9 kW – 45 minutes to 80%.

BMW emphasizes that the CE 04 battery will not cool down much in winter and heat up in summer – this will be prevented by a special temperature control system that relies on a heat exchanger.

Standard equipment of the BMW CE 04 includes three riding modes (Eco, Road and Rain), a 10.25-inch color TFT screen, and a USB port for charging a smartphone. Several upgrade packages are also available for the new model, including Comfort (adds a heated comfort seat and heated grips to the list) and Dynamic (actually, an increased dynamics mode).

Prices for the BMW CE 04 start from €11,990. Sales will begin next year.
