Now showrooms, dealers and other trading companies can buy cars from citizens not as vehicles subject to mandatory registration with the TCC and service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but as ordinary goods. This means that when buying and selling a car for its further resale, it is no longer necessary to register it.
According to experts, this innovation will help legalize a significant share of the car market, which previously operated mostly outside the tax field. It is expected that the new rules will give a noticeable boost to the trade-in segment: official car dealerships will start more actively buying used cars from owners, offering clear terms and legal protection of transactions.
Thus, in Ukraine, prerequisites are being created for transparent trade in used cars, which will take place openly, with the participation of legal entities and under state supervision.
