At the same time, a 50 percent discount is provided for this group if the car has an engine with a displacement of no more than 2500 cubic centimeters or an electric power unit with a capacity of up to 100 kilowatts, and is owned by a combat veteran.
In addition to adjustments in the insurance sector, war veterans can count on other preferences. Among them are compensation of 75% of the cost of utility services, free travel on public transport in the city and suburbs, free medicine and prescription drugs. Additionally, priority enrollment in state-funded university places and free treatment in sanatoriums are provided.
To take advantage of these rights, it is necessary to officially register the status of a combatant and apply with a package of documents to the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. Such benefits apply not only to military personnel, but also to their close relatives.
