A bill aimed at preventing odometer rollback of used vehicles has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.
If it turns out that the car's mileage was deliberately reduced, the driver will have to pay a fine ranging from 500 to 1000 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens. Today this amounts to from 8.5 to 34 thousand hryvnias.
Currently, this is only a draft law, which still has to pass consideration in the relevant committee of the Verkhovna Rada and receive approval during a vote in the session hall.
