According to Mykhailo Fedorov, who holds the position of Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology and heads the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Ukrainians can expect many new services. In particular, beta testing of the function for selling and buying cars through the "Diia" application is already underway. This will allow avoiding visits to service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the services of intermediaries who, for money, offer to "reserve" a place in line. The entire procedure for processing a deal will take only a few clicks in the application, as the official stated during the International Economic Forum held in the capital.
Earlier, in May 2023, the government approved a corresponding resolution that granted Ukrainians the right to sell cars together with state license plates. Since then, when processing a purchase and sale agreement and re-registering a vehicle at a service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the new owner can receive license plates from the previous owner for free.
