The online format will now cover part of the services related to the registration and re-registration of cars. However, preliminary data indicate that it will not yet be possible to fully register a car through the Diia app.
As reported by the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, the relevant decision was made at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on September 10. According to available data, the government approved a list of vehicle re-registration services that the owner will be able to order through the driver's electronic account or the Diia portal.
The specific list of services available online will become known after the publication of the resolution text. In addition, procedures for vehicle inspection by experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service centers must be established, and it must be determined for which registration actions the conclusion of the expert service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or forensic experts is not required.
The Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also noted that within three months, registration and re-registration of a vehicle will be possible online through the Driver's Electronic Account or Diia. This also applies to ordering license plates — they can also be ordered through these services.
