As written on his Facebook by Volodymyr Karavaev, a representative of the Coordinating Council of the National Road Safety Forum, children at least 145 cm tall or under 12 years old can be transported in taxis without child seats if the speed does not exceed 60 km/h. The same rule applies to minibuses.
Another change states that if two child seats are already installed in the car, and a third child aged 3 years or older is secured only with seat belts, the vehicle's speed must also not exceed 60 km/h.
It is worth noting that transporting children in car seats became mandatory in Ukraine in 2019. Violating this rule incurs a fine of 510 UAH, and for a repeated violation – 850 UAH.
