Today, when purchasing a new car or a vehicle that has not yet been registered in Ukraine, the buyer is obliged to pay a fee ranging from 6.37 to 76.35 UAH for every 100 cubic centimeters of engine displacement.

However, in the near future, this payment may disappear — the corresponding plans are laid out in the draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the concept of reforming the tax system." At first glance, this promises lower car prices, but should we count on such an outcome?

As the CEO of the All-Ukrainian Association of Automobile Importers and Dealers, Oleh Nazarenko, believes, this amount will simply be transferred to the excise tax, while preserving all existing coefficients and rates. In other words, according to Nazarenko, "it will be included in the price of the car."
