For residents of border regions, the bill, if adopted by the Parliament, will significantly simplify the use of their own vehicles. The bill proposes to set the period of stay of a vehicle on the territory of Ukraine at 30 days, regardless of movements within the zone of activity of a specific customs office. Today, owners of cars with foreign license plates are forced to cross the state border every 5-10 days.
The current terms of stay on the territory of Ukraine for cars with foreign license plates create many problems, such as overload of customs posts, queues at the border, and congested roads. Moreover, it creates fertile ground for corruption.
