The new designations are not complicated and mainly perform an informational function. The key change is the priority of signs over road markings. Now the State Traffic Inspectorate will be able to adjust traffic patterns faster, and disputes over the interpretation of rules will become a thing of the past.

Some of the innovations look quite unusual — these designations are borrowed from European practice as part of bringing domestic traffic rules to common standards. Among them are "Skiers", "Religious building", "Covered parking", "Covered parking with transfer to public transport", "Start and end of dense development", "Type of danger" and others.

A detailed analysis of all changes in the traffic rules is presented in the article "The Cabinet of Ministers approved new traffic rules. What has changed".
