In particular, over the past five years, 39,127 people have become victims of road accidents in Ukraine, and another 312,361 road users have been injured.
An accident on Ukrainian roads occurs every 18 minutes, and a death is recorded every 117 minutes. In terms of the number of deaths in road accidents per 100 thousand population, the country ranks fifth among European states, according to the Public Relations Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Zaporizhzhia region.
