For the test, the Spanish site km77.com chose the coolest and newest Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid with a 306-horsepower setup. It is the fastest – capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 6 seconds. But at the same time, the car is quite heavy – 2075 kg.

It was the heavy weight that made itself known in the moose test. The plug-in hybrid Toyota RAV4 demonstrated understeer and could not complete the obstacle avoidance maneuver at speeds above 72 km/h without hitting a cone.
In general, the moose test is a difficult challenge, and sometimes even sports cars cannot pass it at high speed. The record is held by the Tesla Model 3 (83 km/h), and among crossovers, the highest result was demonstrated by the Ford Puma ST – 81 km/h.
