The most expensive parking space in the world
The details of the deal are not disclosed, it is only known that the parking space was sold in the elite Peak district (located in the central part of the left half of Hong Kong Island). A short note about the deal of the century was published by the Hong Kong Economic Times.
In Ukraine, such a price for an ordinary parking spot for a car may seem insane, but for Hong Kong it is hardly an exceptional case. The city is densely populated and there is literally not enough real estate for everyone, so prices for it often reach unprecedented heights. For example, for ordinary apartments here they ask up to 9.5 million euros.
For comparison, the area of Hong Kong is 1,106 square kilometers, the area of Kyiv is 839 square kilometers. At the same time, the population of Hong Kong is 7.5 million (as of 2019), while the population of the Ukrainian capital is about 3 million.
The previous record for the cost of parking, by the way, was also set in Hong Kong: in 2019, a parking spot here was sold for almost 1 million dollars.
Another city where the most expensive parking spaces in the world are sold is Amsterdam. So, last year in the capital of the Netherlands, a parking space was offered for 995 thousand euros!
