A total of 44 cars of various classes, brands, and models took part in the competition. They were evaluated by both experts (automotive journalists and opinion leaders) and the public (12 million voters). The best of the best were selected by adding up the scores of the two "chambers" of the jury.
The overall list of winners, taking into account the leaders in the categories, looks like this:

• Best crossover of 2021: Peugeot 2008
• Best electric vehicle/plug-in hybrid: Porsche Taycan
• Best hybrid: Honda CR-V hybrid
• Best family car: Opel Zafira Life
• Best design: Porsche Taycan
• Best value for money: Citroen C3
• Best premium car: Mercedes-Benz E-Class
• Best commercial vehicle: Opel Vivaro
• Best sports car: Audi RS6
By the way, the Octavia was opposed in the main victory by models such as the Audi A4, Citroen C3, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Porsche Taycan, and the Peugeot 2008 by the Audi Q7, Ford Kuga, Skoda Kamiq, and Volvo XC40.
