One of these was the author of the YouTube channel Joe Achilles, owner of a BMW 730Ld xDrive in the G12 body. His car is a diesel version of the new "seven" with an extended wheelbase. Such a sedan weighs about 2 tons, it is equipped with a 3.0-liter "six" developing 265 hp and 620 Nm. The engine works in tandem with an 8-speed ZF "automatic" and accelerates the heavy Bavarian to "hundreds" in 7.3 seconds. The characteristics are impressive, and, ideally, the car should have a strong appetite, but in reality it promises good fuel economy - consumption at the level of 5.3-5.8 liters. And to confirm these figures, the blogger went on a long test trip - from his native London to Barcelona (and this, mind you, is 1500 km), filling the car with 78 liters of diesel.

The result of the test was results that the YouTuber himself did not expect - the average fuel consumption of the car was 4.5 liters, while one tank of fuel was enough to cover an impressive 1450 km (for comparison, on average a full tank often runs out after 700-800 km).

The entire road for the video author took 14 hours 20 minutes. He moved at an average speed of 100.9 km/h.
