The company encourages schoolchildren to shoot videos about reflective elements: flickers, vests, and any accessories, and to tell on social networks why it is important for pedestrians to be visible in the dark.
The company notes that they chose the video format to spread the idea of road safety among children. Videos on social networks attract attention, are memorable, and do not scare young people. That is why OKKO is launching a video olympiad that is both educational and entertaining.
"Any changes in society start with children and young people. They are progressive and modern, and we speak their language. Challenges on TikTok and videos on Instagram are a very understandable tool for schoolchildren, so we offer them to do what they know and love, and at the same time we work on the culture of safety on the road in the dark", - comments on the action the head of the corporate communications department of OKKO Yaroslava Polyakova.
The olympiad will last from November 9 to 30. The best video works will be awarded on December 7. In particular, the authors of three videos will receive an iPhone 11, and the company will provide the schools where the winners study with sets of reflectors.
"We want children to always be safe and from childhood get used to reflectors as necessary accessories. In Europe, schoolchildren during walks or excursions always wear vests and are visible to drivers. Ukrainian schools should also have a culture of using reflectors so that students move safely in the dark and bad weather", - explains Yaroslava Polyakova.
Let us remind you that "Please, shine!" is an initiative of the OKKO company, implemented within the framework of the annual project "Please, live! Road safety". The start of the current stage took place on October 22 - a laser projection was shown on the building of the National Library named after V. I. Vernadsky - a social video about the importance of using reflectors on the road in the dark.
