Odd numbers will be assigned to crossovers, while even numbers will go to sedans. All new models will be based on the unified modular E-GMP platform.
The first model of the new sub-brand will be the electric crossover Ioniq 5 — its premiere is scheduled for next year. A hint at this car was the 45 EV concept shown a year earlier in Frankfurt.
In 2022, the appearance of the electric sedan Ioniq 6 is expected, which will take the Propechy show car as its basis. As for the flagship crossover Ioniq 7, the exact timing of its debut is still unknown.
