Together with the Fusion/Mondeo, the plant will also be left by the related Lincoln MKZ sedan. Assembly of both models at the Mexican Ford facility will be stopped by June.

The freed-up plant lines will be repurposed for the production of the new Bronco Sport crossover. As a result, only one sedan will remain in the Ford lineup — the flagship Lincoln Continental.
