The sports car, which has just been released, found its buyer back in late June – then, during an auction, an unnamed buyer paid 2.7 million dollars for this Corvette C7. The money from its sale was donated to charity.
The seventh-generation Corvette was equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine that developed 650 horsepower and was paired with a seven-speed manual gearbox. The new Corvette, however, is powered by an engine of the same displacement with an output of 502 horsepower and an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
