The maneuver in which a car is forced to sharply change lanes at high speed to avoid an obstacle is considered one of the most difficult tests. It is the "moose test" that most often reveals a variety of shortcomings, and this time they were found in the electric crossover I-Pace.
During the course, the car knocked down cones at any speed in the range from 70 to 80 km/h, and in one of the attempts, the crossover experienced a front wheel lockup. If difficulties with lane changing can still be explained by the peculiarities of the stability control system settings, then the wheel lockup clearly does not relate to its operation.
