BMW, or more precisely its American division BMW of North America, has announced an unusual service campaign. It will affect seven examples of the 2020 Toyota Supra, in which the seat belt guide attachment may be damaged during a crash.
The new Toyota Supra uses the technical base of the BMW Z4. It shares the chassis, powertrains, suspension components, and interior details with the Bavarian model.
Production of the Supra is organized at Magna Steyr's facilities in Graz, where the Z4 and 5 Series cars are also assembled. For this reason, it is the German side that is responsible for announcing the service campaign and carrying out repair work.
