Porsche's eco-friendly sports car is equipped with a pair of electric motors, one on each axle. Their combined power reaches 600 horsepower, and they operate in conjunction with an 800-volt onboard electrical system. Acceleration to 100 km/h for such an electric vehicle takes 3.5 seconds, and reaching the 200 km/h mark requires less than ten seconds. A full battery charge is enough for approximately 500 kilometers of range.
The public debut of the Porsche Taycan is scheduled for September 4 — the car will be presented in three locations worldwide: China, Germany, and Canada.
