Volkswagen ID. R significantly outpaced the Chinese electric hypercar NIO RP9 with its 1360 horsepower. This Chinese race car in 2017 completed the Nordschleife circuit in 6 minutes 45.9 seconds, averaging nearly 185 km/h.
The public premiere of the Volkswagen ID. R took place last year at a special event in France. The car is equipped with a pair of electric motors whose combined output reaches 680 hp at 650 N·m of torque. The weight of the racing machine was limited to 1100 kilograms. The electric car accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.25 seconds.
