The new generation of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV has received the highest rating — five stars. Experts rated the level of protection for the driver and adult passengers in this car at 90%.
The only thing that drew criticism from specialists was the weak protection of the front passenger's chest in a full-width frontal impact. They also noted a potential risk of chest injury for the driver in the event of a frontal collision with a deformable object, and in a rear-end collision, there is a possibility of neck injury for a rear-seat passenger.
In addition, five stars were earned by the Seat Tarraco and Honda CR-V. For the Spanish crossover, the safety indicator for the driver and adult passengers was 97%, and for the Japanese model — 93%.
