An unusual race took place on the legendary Streif track in Kitzbühel (Austria), which traditionally hosts downhill skiing competitions. Behind the wheel of the electric car was Swedish driver Mattias Ekström, a two-time champion in the DTM touring car series.

Before this run, the Audi e-tron was modified in collaboration with the Red Bull racing team. In particular, the crossover was fitted with three electric motors: one on the front axle and two on the rear (one more than the standard version). The total power output is 503 horsepower, and the torque delivered to the wheels reaches 8920 newton-meters.

Special software was also installed to adapt the traction distribution system to the conditions of the climb. In addition, the electric vehicle was equipped with 19-inch wheels, tires with special studs, and a roll cage.
