According to British media citing insiders, this decision was made due to the high cost of participating in the exhibition. Instead of the Geneva Motor Show, the manufacturer will focus on organizing its own presentations.

Another reason for refusing the motor show was the desire to cut costs as much as possible amid losses recorded in the second quarter of this year, which were caused by slowing sales in the Chinese market and uncertainty related to Brexit.

In addition, Ford and Volvo are not going to come to Geneva. At the same time, the American company intends to hold a separate event next spring, at which it will present a new model for the European market that has not yet been announced.
