The Audi RSQ e-tron represents a further development of the RSQ concept, which was created in 2004 for the fantastic film "I, Robot" starring Will Smith. The new model's appearance features traits of the updated R8 coupe and the electric show car PB18 E-Tron, presented in mid-2018.
Instead of the usual side mirrors, the Audi RSQ e-tron is equipped with cameras, and the interior features a holographic speedometer and several displays. The supercar is equipped with an autopilot, but if desired, the driver can take control — for this, a steering wheel extends from the front panel, and a manual gear selector is available.
The cartoon sports car is powered by an electric powertrain, the details of which are kept secret. It likely uses developments from the PB18 E-Tron. That prototype has three electric motors with a combined output of up to 680 horsepower.
During driving, the driver can increase the power of the units to 775 horsepower. Such a car accelerates to 100 km/h in two seconds, and it can travel 500 kilometers without recharging.
The premiere of the animated film "Spies in Disguise" is scheduled for September 13, 2019.
